Reasons to join the Coaching Academy at the Arabian School of Gymnastics???

Upon a successful interview, you will be required to complete the 2 Stages of our Coaching Academy. 

Important: As courses/qualifications are fully funded by the Club, Academy Shadow hours are voluntary.  Paid work is only offered on completion of Stage 1.

ASoG Level 1: Basic Training

  • Complete 50 hours of ‘shadow coaching’ within our Novice 4-8 Classes
  • Attend coaching progress reviews.
  • Attend in-house coaches training – requirement; 2 of the 4 in-house training sessions must be attended.
  • Min of 24hrs voluntary work to be undertaken at in-house events

To graduate from Level 1 of the Academy, you will be required to complete an assessment session to be deemed a competent coach by a mentor.  Once deemed competent, you will be required to attend (fully funded) the British Gymnastics Helpers Course. Allocation of regular paid work will be considered from this point.

ASoG Level 2: Advanced Training

  • Complete 50 hours of ‘shadow coaching’ within our Novice 8+/Intermediate/Advanced Classes
  • Attend coaching progress reviews.
  • Attend in-house coaches training – requirement; 2 of the 4 in-house training sessions must be attended.
  • Min of 24hrs voluntary work to be undertaken at in-house events

To graduate from Level 2 of the Academy, you will be required to complete an assessment session to be deemed a competent coach by a mentor.  Once deemed competent, you will be required to attend the British Gymnastics Level 1 Course (fully funded and mentored by ASoG).
